Mission & Vision: My Impossible Promise
In the Wisdom Curriculum of Landmark Education, there is a course called Power & Contribution where participants create a promise for the world. These are no flights of fancy or easy projects. Each of us commits to something that appears to be impossible with what we know now.
"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." Albert Einstein
We then set out to fulfill on our "impossible promises".
Being the over-achiever that I am, I created three impossible promises (or you might consider it a three-tier promise):
I promise:
- A legal system that works for everyone, where lawyers are peacemakers, healers, and problem-solvers, being agents of transformation with their clients by 2010.
- A world at peace by 2012: where all people realize their interconnectedness and honor conflict as an opportunity for transformation.
- A world that works for all by 2040
A few years have passed since I made the promise and 2010 is fast approaching. Would you like to help? Email me!
